Began operations in August 1997 flying contract cargo flights in Arizona and Utah for Airborne Express and UPS. It received commuter authority in 1998 and began operating the Phoenix-Show Low route, trading as Sunrise Airlines, which was a sister company. Following Sunrise Airlines bankruptcy, Express Air picked up the air tour operation based in Page, AZ. Express Air filed for bankruptcy in April 2001.
