In 1994, the parent company was acquired by Skywest Airlines. In December 23 1998, Skywest sold the air tour operation to Eagle Canyon Airlines, along with the Scenic name. The remainder air carrier operation was renamed SunAir Express; on March 3, 1999, Skywest sold SunAir Express and the airlne was renamed Sunrise Airlines.
