Charter passanger airline founded by Nikki Lauda (Formula1), obtained license to operate a 767 named 'Enzzo Ferrari' in May 1993 and later that year commenced flights to the Carribean (Cuba, Dominican Rep). In 1996 airline started to fly for tour operator Viaggi de Ventaglio. In 1999 airline obtained Canadair CRJ's and begun wet lease operations for Alitalia in all business configurations on Malpensa - Monaco, Zurich, Pisa, Bologna, Ancona routes.
Airline also expanded to operate charter flights to destinations in the Middle East and Indian Ocean. In 2000 Japanese destinations Nagoya, Sapporo and Osaka were added, operating for Japanese tour operator JTB.
In February 2002 airline received JAR/OPS 1 certificate. In 2002 airline also begun to fly to Eastern Africa.
In 2002, the airline carried over 350,000 passangers and achieved 83% load factor.
Early 2003, Lauda Air announced its fleet revitilization and decided to replace its aging 767 fleet with brand new A330 by the end of the year.
Livingston Aviation Group, gained control of Lauda Air Italy by buying out Volante (Nikki Lauda) shares and decided to integrated Lauda Air Italy with its short and medium airline Livingston s.p.a.
