Founded as Transglobe Airways in 1967 as a subsidiary of the Lonrho organisation, operated worldwide cargo charters, as well as scheduled cargo services from London (Gatwick) to Chicago, Toronto and Khartoum as well as charter work. Company also operated Helicopter service in mid 1970s. Company suspended operations between January and May 1986 due to difficulties obtaining hush kits for its 707s. Company was bought out by Michael Watt of Tal Air Group and Aodam Connolly (TE Holdings) and moved its office to Stantsted Airport. Company has been under administration since 1988.
