Airline founded by inclusive tour operator Airtours Holidays commenced operations in the spring of 1991 with a flight from Newcastle to Palma on March 30, 1991. Its holding company purchased Premiair of Denmark in 1996 but retained the brand. Airtours International became largest British Charter Airline and was rebranded MyTravel Airways in 2002. MyTravel PLC was acquired by Thomas Cook Group in June 2007, and merged into Thomas Cook Airways in March 2008.
