JAR AOC 1044. Founded as a regional subsidiary of Swiss International Airlines, which began operations on November 1, 2005.. Swiss European brand was changed to Swiss Global in 2016 when Swiss International acquired Boeing 777-300ERs and the decision was made to operate them under this AOC. The airline was merged into Swiss International in April 2018, after Swiss International and Swiss Global's pilot contracts were unified, resulting in no cost savings for the carrier.
