note
Southeast was an intra-state carrier formed by Tennessee car, truck, and boat dealer, E. Ward King. It began flying on February 8, 1957 with a DC-3. By 1959 it was serving nearly every commercial airport in Tennessee. However, since it had no CAB certificate, it was unable to provide connecting services with other airlines. This limitation forced the airline to cease operations in 1959.
