note
Owen Sound Air Services began operations in 1973 as a charter service and flight school. It eventually branched out into contract freight operations using DC-3s. In 1984, Soundair Corp. was founded as a parent company, and it acquired Aero Trades Western which operated DC-3s and DC-4s in contract freight operations. Parent Soundair Corp., also formed Commuter Express, a Toronto-based regional airline, and Odyssey International, a Toronto-based leisure airline. Its contract freight operations were eventually rebranded as Soundair Express. Soundair ran into financial trouble and entered receivership in 1990, and Soundair Express (along with Odyssey) ceased operations in April 1990.
