In 1998, Columbia businessman William Stricker purchased the rights to the Ozark name. The new airline received its certificate in March 2000 and began flights connecting Columbia with Chicago and Dallas/Ft. Worth. The airline filed for bankruptcy in 2001 and sold its assets to Great Plains Airlines.
