Began operations February 1980 in the Caribbean with two Nomads. It acquired the air carrier operation of Eastern Caribbean Airlines the same year. By the end of the year it was flying from St. Croix to St. Thomas, San Juan, St. Kitts, Tortola, and Nevis and from St. Thomas to San Juan. It filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy on July 2, 1981. In July 1982 its was purchased out of bankruptcy by a company called Tracon International Airlines. Lawsuits filed in bankruptcy court voided the sale in 1984, and Coral Air ceased operations in 1985.
