note
AirSpur was created to provide passenger and cargo services within Southern California and neighboring states. An order was placed for 10 IAI Aravas, however only 4 were delivered. Flights began October 1, 1981 from Los Angeles to San Diego (Montgomery), and cargo services were operated between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, operating as a feeder for Emery. By December 1982, the fixed wing and cargo flights were discontinued, and the company switched to a helicopter service using Westland WG-30s, of which it had ordered 10. Flights resumed on May 10, 1983 between Los Angeles and Fullerton, with flights added to Burbank and Orange County within a couple of months. An accident involving an AirSpur Westland on November 7, 1983 caused all services to be suspended until January 15, 1984. By the end of the year, the airline was purchased by Evergreen and merged with Evergreen Helicopters, and began trading as Evergreen Airspur. Two Twin Otters were added, flights to Burbank and Fullerton ended, while service to Oxnard was added. By the end of 1985, the Evergreen Airspur operation was dissolved.
