note

SeaPort began operating scheduled service in 2008 between Seattle (Boeing Field) and Portland using a PC-12. Later in the year it received the EAS designation at Pendleton (OR) and began service from there to Portland. Also that year, Wings of Alaska based in Juneau was acquired and operated as a division of SeaPort. The airline began bidding on Essential Air Service routes in other parts of the country, and how has an operation in the Mid-South, connecting smaller communities in Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee with Nashville, Memphis, Kansas City, or Dallas. service is also provided from Kansas City to two communities in Kansas. A southern California operation began in 2013 connecting El Central/Imperial with San Diego and Burbank. Non EAS routes were added in 2014 linking San Diego with Burbank and San Felipe (Mexico). In 2011, The airline began phasing out its PC-12 fleet in favor of Cessna Grand Caravans. In 2015, Wings of Alaska was sold to Fjord Flying Services. In 2015, SeaPort began suffering from financial problems, reportedly stemming from an industrywide pilot shortage. It began dropping routes, first in the South, then in Kansas and California. On February 5, 2016, it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy but continued to operate. As its reorganization plan was near completion, its post-bankruptcy lender backed out, forcing the airline to shut down on September 20, and its bankruptcy was converted to Chapter 7.
