Escuela de Aviacion Militar was formed in the early twenties and this eventually led to the inception of the Fuerza Aereas del Ejercito Nacional Paraguayo in 1927 much helped by a French mission that arrived in 1926. Military aviation was still a part of the regular army and at the start of the Chaco War with Bolivia in 1932 the air arm had about thirty aircraft
