Scheduled privately held passanger airline. Operations commenced in August 2006 using Embraer EMB-110 from its base at Curacao to Bonaire and Aruba. First jet, McDonnell Douglas MD-83, entered fleet in January 2007 enabling great expanstion. St Maarten, Port Au Prince, Santo Domingo, Miami and Paramaribo were added. Valencia, Barquisimeto and Maracaibo are served in Venezuela. In the year 2011 Insel Air inaugurated new routes to Caracas, Charlotte, San Juan, Medellin and Kingston, also they bought new MD-82s and MD-83s.
