note
Kelowna Flightcraft began operations in 1974 when owner Barry LaPointe purchased West Coast Air Services. He soon began passenger flights from Kelowna to the surrounding area of interior British Columbia. In 1977 the cokpany began flying cargo for Purolator Courier, for which it had exclusive contract beginning in 1985. In conjunction with Purolator.
The company also operated passenger charters with Boeing 727s, and provided CMI services for Canadian charter carriers Roots Air and Greyhound Air.
On April 1, 2015, it lost its Purolator and Canada Post contracts, and which resulted in the loss of most of its flying. The airline changed its name to KF Cargo and continues to operate a pair of DC-10 freighters between Miami and South America for Solar Cargo, as well as cargo feeder services based at Vancouver using Convair 580s.
