Founded by Jorge A. Toledo, all cargo company started operations on May 16th 1983 using single Cessna 182 on cargo flights between Puerto Rico Borinquen and Beef Island. Company grew steadily and at one point owned 18 airicraft including Convair 240-440, Cessna 402s, DC-3s (since 1988) and Beech 18s. Tol-Air also operated turboprop Swearingen Metro IIs since 1992. Company was eventually taken over by another Puerto Rico based cargo airline Four Star Aviation.
