Airline changed its name to Toronto Airways in 1963. Its base of operations was Buttonville Municipal airport in Markham Ontario.
In April 1979 Toronto Airways launched scheduled regional service under Torontoair banner.
In 1998 Toronto Airways purchased Canadian Flight Academy based at Oshawa.
In 2009 it was announced that the Butonville airport will be closing.
Company moved its entire operation in November 2016 to Oshawa.
