Company was founded by Ken Eichner as Timber, Exploration, Mining, Survery, Cargo Operations company utilizing Hughes and Bell helicopters. In January 1985 Temsco purchased Tyee Airlines which operated fleet of float equipped DHC-3 Otters. In 1986 Temsco also purchased Ketchikan based Westflight Aviation which also owned an Otter. With its fixed wing fleet Temsco formed Temsco Airlines and operated scheduled flights as well as charters. By 1989 Temsco owned the largest commercial seaplane Otter fleet. Downturn in tourist traffic caused the airline to abruptly cease all fixed wing operations on November 1st 1991.The helicopter division was not affected by the closure.
