note

Swift Air initially provided charter and aircraft management services from its FBO base at Phoenix. It was the first US Distributor for the Embraer Legacy. Sport charter operations began using a Boeing 737 and later a Boeing 757 was added to the fleet. For legal reasons the operation of these aircraft was turned over to Pace Airlines until an FAR 121 certificate could be acquired. The company grew its large aircraft fleet with 737s, 767s, and briefly a 727. In late 2011 the FAR 121 operation was sold to a group that included principals of defunct public charter operator, Direct Air. In June 2012 the company filed for bankruptcy. The company exited bankruptcy in October 2013 with funding from NIMBOS LLC, now a 50% owner. The FAR 135 and aircraft management business was spun off as Swift Aircraft Management LLC. In June 2017 Swift Air acquired certain assets of Eastern Airlines (2009), including several trademarks, and assumed the leases of two Eastern 737-800s. On March 1, 2018 Swift acquired the business of XTRA Airways, which included six Boeing 737s. In May 2019, Swift was acquired by iAero Group, and the airline's name was changed in December.
