ITR Airlines (International Technology Resources) was created to acquire the commuter airline business of bankrupt Combs Airways. Upon its creation, it had already negotiated a marketing arrangement with Frontier Airlines, to operate Convair 580s as Frontier Commuter. It received CAB and FAA authority on July 13, 1984 and assumed the Frontier Commuter operations previously operated by Combs. The airline only lasted until January 14, 1985.
