Founded as Caribeanne Transport in 1969 and operating as a regional airline from its bases at Pointe a Pitre and Fort de France. In 2000 airline merged with Air Martinique and Air Saint Barthelemy and new name Air Caraibes was adopted. In 2003 airline launched its first inter-continental service to Paris (Orly) using Airbus A330. Regional network include Port au Prince, Santo Domingo, St. Barthelemy, St Lucia and St. Martin. Airline also serves Havana, Belem in Brasil and Cayenne in Guyana.
