note
Montauk Caribbean operated air-taxi services from the New York area to East Hampton and Fishers Island (NY). In the winter it moved airplanes south to operate as Ocean Reef Airways, flying to the Ocean Reef Resort from Miami. The airline was sold in 1987, its name changed to Long Island Airlines, and headquarters moved to Farmingdale. In 1991, it was sold to East Coast Aviation Services and charter operations were conducted as Executive Airlines. Operations concentrated more on Atlantic City casino shuttles as well as corporate jet charters.
