Airline of Swiss travel agency Edelweiss is wholly owned by its founder Kuoni Travel Group. First flight was operated in January 1996 between Manchester and Zurich using MD-83 aircraft. In February 1999, Airline received its first Airbus A320. In November 2000, its first long-haul jet Airbus A330 was delivered.
Airline operates charter flights only and handles 3/4 of million passengers annually and employes circa 200 people. Destinations in the Mediterranean are served from both Geneva and Zurich. Phuket, Kenya, Maledives, Mexico, Cuba and Dominican Republic are served on its long haul network. Airline also operates seasonal flights to Reykjavik and Kittila in Finland.
In november 2008, Kuoni Travel sold its operation rights to Swiss International Air Lines.
