Scheduled cargo and ad-hoc passenger and cargo airline was founded in July 2003 as Air Polonia Cargo. Operations commenced in April next year and in September company begun to trade under name Sky Express. Airline's initial fleet consisted of Let L-410s turboprop aircraft. In September 2004 first SAAB 340As joined the fleet. In April 2006 Sky Express begun to operate for Direct Fly (passenger airline) and same year contract with Poland Postal Service was signed. In January 2008 Sky Express changed its name to SprintAir. Same year its sister Lithuanian company UAB SprintAir Kaunas was established and first stock was issued.
