note
Air cargo operator which served Caribbean, Central, and South America. Business sold to UPS in 2000. The company was purchased by Alfonso Rey, who had once owned Cielos del Peru. The airline was renamed Centurion Air Cargo, and it continued to provide interstate and foreign cargo charter services. In 2008, Rey formed Sky Lease I, which acquired Tradewinds Airlines, which was renamed Sky Lease Cargo. Although separate, the two airlines worked almost seamlessly, although market pressures forced the two airlines to combine operations, and Centurion ceased operations after the Christmas rush in 2016.
