Regional airline operating throughout Southeastern Australia. Airlines of New South Wales was founded when aviation pioneer Sir Reginald Ansett took control of Butler Air Transport in 1958. Renamed to Ansett Airlines of New South Wales in 1968/69. Company became Air New South Wales in 1981, and the name changed again to Ansett NSW in 1990. Company operated as Ansett Express when it was absorbed into Ansett Australia in 1993.
