TPI International Airways began service as a contract cargo carrier from its base in Miami. In October 1985 it received DOT authority to provide domestic cargo service and foreign cargo charters. The company provided ACMI services to several airlines. The company was sold in 1989 and moved its base to Brunswick, Ga. It suspended operations in mid-1990 and went out of business the following year
