Colgan, an FBO operator at Mannassas Virginia who founded the original Colgan Airways in 1970 and sold it to Presicential Airways in 1986. Airline was acquired by Pinnacle Airlines Group in January 2007 but continued to operate independently. In December 2009 Colgan moved its headquarters to Memphis Tennessee where Pinnacle Group has its head offices. In May 2012 Pinnacle Airlines made decision to discontinue Colgan Air as part of its restructuring plan after entering bankruptcy in April 2012.
