Sierra Expressway was founded by a former AMR Eagle executive to provide regional services from points in northern California and Oregon to the Bay Area. It received CAB authority to provide service on August 14, 1995 and began operations shortly thereafter. Traffic failed to materialize and it ceased operations within seven months.
