National airline of island nation of Cayman Islands is entirely owned by the government since 1977. It launched operations in August 1968. Airline can trace its history to Cayman Brac Airways which was joint venture of Cayman Island government and LACSA of Costa Rica. Government of Cayman Islands bought out LACSA forming Cayman Airways. Airline serves domestic service to Cayman Brac and International destinations include Miami, Kingston, Havana, Chicago, Washington Dulles, La Ceiba, Montego Bay, New York and Tampa.
