Brit Air is regional airline operating for Air France. It was founded by Xavier Leclercq as business and air charter service in 1973 and started operations in 1975. Scheduled airline service commenced 4 years later between London and Rennes, Morlaix, Quimper, Le Havre and Caen. In 1983 Brit Air begun code sharing with Air Inter. In 1995 Brit Air recieved its first jet a CRJ-100. Brit Air started to cooperate with Air France in 1997 and in 2000, became wholly owned subsidiary of Air France. In 1998 Brit Air floated its stock on Paris stock exchange. Brit Air operates dense domestic network throughout France. Its international destinations are in England, Germany, Italy, Spain and it operates Air France flights as far as Copenhagen, Zagreb and Prague.
