Charter Airline joint venture of German-based LTU and private Spain investors founded April 29, 1987, and commenced operations on November 1 that year. LTE specialized in holiday charters to Spain from Western Europe namely Great Britain and Germany. Airline was sold to group of Investors led by Volare Group of Italy. Airline was re-branded to Volar Airlines, but this change was reversed in 2005, and Volar Airlines became LTE again. Airline faced difficult financial situation in fall of 2008 and suspended all operations in November 2008.
