Brain child of Abi Governor Uzor Orji Kalu company was founded as cargo and air charter operator in December 1996. In 2003 Slok received its passenger AOC and started scheduled domestic operations with 2 leased 737-200 in January 2004. Airline planed to connect all major Nigerian cities and expand internationaly. Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) withdrew its operating license in March 2004, just 2 months after the start of operations despite Slok Airline's claim that the airline is in compliance.
Slok Air received Gambian AOC in September 2004 and started flights between Banjul, Dakar, Freetown, Monrovia, Cotonou, Abidjan and Accra. Airline suspended operations in December 2007.
