note
Winnport Air Cargo was formed to operate freight charters for parent Winnport Logistics. Its first flights actually used wet-leased aircraft from Kelowna Flightcraft and Evergreen International. In 2000 it acquired its own Boeing 727 and contracted with Royal Aviation for its operation. In 2001, Canada 3000 acquired Royal Aviation, and shut down the cargo operation. Canada wet-leased Boeing 727s from All Canada Express to cover contract operations. Later in the year, Canada 3000 sold a 50% interest in Royal Aviation's Cargo operation, and renamed it Canada 3000 Cargo, continuing to use All Canada Expess 727s. Canada 3000s shutdown in November 2001 did not affect operations. In 2002 the airline's named changed to Cargojet Canada, which acquired Winnport Logistics later in the year. Winnport's name was changed to Cargojet Airways, which acquired its own aircraft operating certificate.
