note
Air Taxi and Charter services founded by NBA team Sacramento Kings managing partner Gregg Lukenbill. The company expanded from a single BAC 1-11 to a fleet of Boeing 737s and procured charter contracts with several professional sports teams, and later, track charters for casinos. It briefly operated a Boeing 737 for IDM Corporate Aviation, and a Boeing 767 for Scanderberg Air. Later contracts included JPATS operations, as well as public charters for Vacation Express, Direct Air, and several Cuban travel services. The airline filed for bankruptcy in March 2010, and again in September 2012 after Direct Air shut down. The airline ceased operations January 26, 2014 with its Cuba charter contracts ending. It has since been sold to AerLine Holdings LLC, which is owned by the principals of AerSale Inc. and restarted operations from an Orlando base. In May 2015 it was renamed Songbird Airways, and had registered Xtra Airways as a trade name, which is also used by sister carrier TEM Enterprises.
