The Republic of Korea Air Force also known as the ROK Air Force, is the aerial warfare service branch of South Korea, operating under the South Korean Ministry of National Defense. The ROK Air Force is significantly smaller than the Korean People's Air Force of neighbour North Korea. The ROKAF has about 500 combat aircraft of American design, in addition to a few Russian, European, and indigenously-designed aircraft.
