Uganda Airlines is Uganda’s flag carrier, headquartered at Entebbe International Airport. It was founded in 2018, and began operations on August 28, 2019. It revives the name and role of the original Uganda Airlines, which operated from 1977 to 2001.
The airline was relaunched with a fleet of Bombardier CRJ900 and Airbus A330-800 aircraft to serve regional and intercontinental destinations. Initial routes included Nairobi, Juba, and Dar es Salaam, with operations expanding to Kinshasa, Dubai, and other key cities.
Since its revival, the airline expanded its network with new routes approved in 2024, including Jeddah, Riyadh, and Gatwick, while continuing to grow its fleet.
