BHS Aviation GmbH was founded in 2008 as BHS Helicopterservice based in Bamberg as a company specializing in business helicopter flights . In the past eleven years, we have exclusively taken over the works traffic for the around 14 German branches of the international automotive supplier Brose with two helicopters of the type Airbus Helicopters EC135P2+ and Leonardo AW109SP .
BHS Aviation AG, based in Zurich , was originally founded in 1991 under the name Heli-Link/Jet-Link AG. After being taken over by DC Aviation GmbH in 2013, the company was renamed DC Aviation Switzerland AG.
On May 2, 2019, Bamberg-based BHS Helicopterservice GmbH initiated the purchase of the helicopter business of its Stuttgart cooperation partner DC Aviation GmbH and thus took over DC Aviation Switzerland AG as BHS Aviation AG. At the end of 2019, both companies were renamed the BHS Aviation Group.
On October 21, 2020, BHS Aviation GmbH Bamberg received the operating license as an aviation company from the Federal Aviation Authority. The Air Operator Certificate (AOC) is the prerequisite for transporting passengers, mail or freight in commercial air transport with helicopters . In addition, BHS Aviation has received continuing airworthiness management certification (CAMO) for helicopters.
Since January 17, 2023, BHS Aviation AG Zurich has had an AOC for fixed-wing aircraft and operates a Citation Latitude. BHS Aviation AG has thus added the Aircraft Management segment in the area of fixed-wing aviation to its range of services.
