Originally named Next Move, Air Leap was founded by the owners of FlyViking. Without its own AOC, It used the services of Danish Air Transport, AIS Airlines, and NyxAir. Flights began in March 2018 on hre Orland-Oslo route, and services in Sweden began in June. In October 2018, the Swedish Transport Agency issued an AOC to Air Large European Aviation Project AB, and Leap began flying with its own certificate using SAAB 340Bs.
