Private airline established in February 1980 by the Dr. Alhaji Muhammadu Adamu Dankabo and started operations in April 1981. Airline is wholly owned by Kabo Holdings. Airline operated domestic service with hub at Kano, but discontinued this service in 2001. Airline's main business are international charters, namely yearly pilgrim flights to Jeddah during Hajj season and Umrah. These are conducted from Nigeria as well as other muslim nations namely Sudan and Iran. Between 2002 and 2007, Kabo transported most pilgrims to and from Jeddah than any other foreign airline. It has received recognition from Saudi Arabian government for this effort. Airline is also planning to start scheduled domestic passenger service in 2010. Airline operates scheduled flights to Cairo and Dubai and also holds rights to fly to Niamey, Rome and N'Djamena.
