Airnautic operated freight and inclusive tour charters as well as scheduled flights for both Air Inter and Air France. Company operated throughout Europe and its main base were Nice and Perpignan where it flew IT charters mainly from UK. It also flew contract flights for oil companies in French north Africa. Air France bought interest in the airline in 1962 and later became majority owner. Couple aircraft were transferred to newly formed Air Inter. Major accident in 1963 and another one few months later as well as aging fleet brought airline to financial difficulties. On January 1st 1966 all operations ceased. Air Fance took over assets of the company but all the employees were laid off.
