note
Catalina Flying Boats began service in 1984 operating a single Grumman Goose operating air freight services between the mainland and Catalina Island. In 1989 the airline was acquired by Aeronautical Services Inc (a Washington-based operator) and began passenger services to Catalina. The Goose was replaced by deHavilland Otters operating between airports. The airline expanded its cargo operation with Beech 18s and DC-3s, and operated contract services on the mainland. The airline was sold again in 2006 to Thomas Dean.
